Half and Full Leases Available

Cornerstone Farm offers lessons in dressage and jumping, with a basis in Eventing. We also teach the Basic Balanced Position, for those students who are not yet focused on a particular discipline.

Each session includes horse care before and after the lesson. Students should arrive 20-30 minutes early to tack up and plan to allow at least 20 minutes to cool down the horse and clean the tack. Fees: $40 per semi private,$40 private 1/2 hour, $50 private. Due monthly, at the first lesson each month.

We have great lesson horses! Some are experienced eventers, some are just great at starting students safely. The horses are also available for showing and, at times, a full or partial lease. We attend shows monthly and schedule other fun outings. A FREE horse care class is offered periodically, usually combined with a lesson horse's birthday celebration!

Barney is THE pony! Standing about 12.2h, he can canter safely with the smallest child. He watches me for clues to where I want him to go! He and I are buddies, working together to start each child in a safe and fun manner. He is rightfully, spoiled rotten!

Walker is an 14 year old Oldenburg gelding by West Coast. He is 16.2h. He is reserved for the serious students and is available for showing. In 2006 he was on a winning team at the National Dressage Rally with Ali Hoffman. Half lease Walker for Fall 2008.

Willie joined us in August 2004 and has become invaluable. Like Bambi,
he can do everything from beginners to taking students to their first event! His dressage is lovely and he is a very steady jumper. He is a pretty, black Thoroughbred gelding, standing 16.2. He is 17 this year and has decided he is ready to enjoy a life of leisure. He is retired at Cornerstone.

Faith is a 9 year old Oldenburg mare. She is a lovely jumper, but is used for more experienced riders. Half or full lease available. Faith has evented, done hunters and could do low level jumpers.

Matilda is a rescue pony that came to the farm in March 2005. She has many health issues, but a great, kind attitude. Her attributes have already made her a favorite. We are glad she came along and plan to let her work as long as she likes, then have a safe retirement with us. Matilda is mostly retired now, but helps out at Summer Camps. Matilida's new job- NANNY to Milano!

Levi, aka "501 Blues" is a large pony who can do everything, start beginners and compete in little events.

Lilly is a lovely Oldenburg mare. She has been to Pony Club Nationals in Dressage and took her owner, Natalie Bradford through the C3 rating. She is half leased but is able to fill in for jumping and dressage lessons.

Double Stuff, known as Pippin. She had a colt, Milano, by the Freisian stallion, Nastase in 2008. She has returned to lessons. She has an adorable jump and a careful attitude with her riders. Compare the two pictures as she has learned to jump! Molly Owens is her trainer.
